Tech firm MiTek set to take space at Worcester Six Business Park
Global software firm MiTek is to take up space at Worcester Six Business Park.
With planning permission now granted to developers Stoford, building works for the new headquarters for MiTek, will start later this year.
MiTek is a global company focused on providing integrated software, services, engineered products and automated solutions for the building industry.
MiTek’s new unit will sit alongside already established on the business park including Material Solutions, Kimal, Spire Healthcare, IONOS, Kohler Mira, Zwick Roell and Sierra CP Engineering. Work is also currently underway on a new Bidfood site.
MiTek will own the building when construction has finished which means the sale before build agreement is believed to be the largest in Worcestershire for more than 20 years.
Councillor Adam Kent, Cabinet Member with Economy and Skills, at Worcestershire County Council said: “We are thrilled to welcome MiTek, a globally recognised company in the building industry, with customers across Europe, to Worcester Six.
"This move brings excellent job opportunities to the county as well as a huge positive impact on our local economy. The relocation of their headquarters is a significant investment for MiTek and shows great confidence in Worcestershire as a business location."
Worcestershire County Council has been working with award winning property specialist Stoford alongside other partners to bring the hugely successful Worcester Six Business Park to life.
Stoford Director, Edward Peel, said: “Welcoming MiTek to the southern extension of Worcester Six is particularly exciting. Establishing a new headquarters will have a significant impact on the business park and surrounding area in terms of employment opportunities and economic benefits. We are thrilled to have secured planning consent and look forward to starting work.”
