TeamSport to open £1.8m indoor karting track in Bournemouth
Surrey-based indoor karting brand TeamSport is set to open a new venue in Bournemouth, marking its 38th location nationwide.
Backed by a £1.8 million investment, the venue will cater for thrill seekers and families alike, as well as corporate events and birthday parties.
The new site on Wallisdown Road features a 300-metre track designed for up to 14 karts to race at once, with sharp bends and fast straights.
It also houses a bar and kitchen area, with TeamSport aiming to make the location a social hub.
Dom Gaynor, CEO of TeamSport, said: “We are excited to announce that we will be opening a venue in Bournemouth.
“Our goal is to create a space that caters to adrenaline junkies as well as families.
“It will be a perfect place for stag and hen parties, and we will also be developing a race academy programme for young racers.”
The new venue is expected to create 30 local jobs.
