Steer launches EV repair facility in Eastleigh
Automotive repair business Steer has opened its first purpose-built electric vehicle repair location in Eastleigh, near the Southampton import docks.
Steer Electric Eastleigh spans more than 14,000 square feet, with full aluminium structural repair capabilities and advanced EV technology tooling.
Its technicians have undergone courses on EV safety, battery management and high-voltage systems in preparation for the launch.
The Eastleigh site is equipped with solar panels to cover a portion of the site’s energy needs, and will aim to use ESG-compliant parts where applicable.
It also includes rapid EV chargers for both colleagues and customers, as well as valet facilities, a customer consultation and meet and greet area, and a colleague lounge.
Headquartered in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, Steer Automotive Group operates 162 locations across the UK.
