Solihull hotel goes on the market for £25 million

A hotel in Solihull in the West Midlands is being offered for sale at a guide price of £25 million.
The investment management giant Colliers is bringing the 201-bedroom voco St. John's hotel on Warwick Street to market on behalf of CL Capital Global.
"The voco St John’s hotel presents a fantastic prospect for an investor; whilst it has been recently refurbished there are also significant asset management opportunities," said Kit Abram, associate director in the hotels capital markets team at Colliers.
"This includes making the building more energy efficient or a re-instatement of the previous planning permission to add an additional 88 bedrooms.
"We expect there to be a high-level interest in the hotel, with it offering RevPAR growth opportunities when compared to its local competition."
The three-storey hotel, which has a gym, pool and spa, sits half a kilometre from Solihull train station and is also near Birmingham airport and the motorway network.
It features the 120-cover Brasserie Six5One and there is an additional 30-cover bar.
The hotel has 13 conference rooms, including the Park Suite which can hold 700 people - one of the largest conference halls in the midlands, said Colliers.
