Quantum tech firm Infleqtion takes space at Oxford Technology Park
Oxford Technology Park (OTP) owner Life Science REIT has secured a new lease with quantum technology business Infleqtion.
Infleqtion is taking 7,500 sq ft of fully fitted space at the park’s innovation quarter, becoming its third quantum tenant.
The firm uses atomic physics to build quantum computers and integrate them across networks, providing an ecosystem of devices and platforms.
This technology has potential major implications for the life sciences industry as it could help significantly reduce time and costs for drug development.
Ian Harris is director of asset management at Ironstone Asset Management, which advises Life Science REIT’s investments.
He said: “Infleqtion is a great addition to OTP where we’re successfully building a cluster of AI, quantum computing and technology businesses.
“This letting demonstrates the appeal of the fully fitted concept and positions us for a rollout elsewhere at the innovation quarter – extending the depth of the offering at OTP, which can now cater to a range of demand from startups and scaleups to well-established, global science and technology businesses.”
The park’s innovation quarter covers 69,700 sq ft and comprises 11 units, with one due to launch as a cafe and coworking venue in the new year.
