Polyhose cuts ribbon on new Dorset warehouse built by Mar-Key Group

Energy conveyance products wholesaler Polyhose welcomed guests recently to celebrate the official opening of its new Christchurch warehouse.
The firm supplies customers across the UK with thermoplastic, PTFE, rubber hydraulic, industrial, composite, stainless steel, flexible hoses and fluid connectors.
Now with additional warehousing space, it will be able to accommodate a broader range of products and deeper UK stock holding.
After looking at various build options, Polyhose chose to work with local business Mar-Key Group, which could provide a fast, flexible and cost-effective temporary structure.
Marc Whibley, managing director at Polyhose, said: “Once the groundworks were complete, Mar-Key Group finished the structure in just a few weeks.
“Seeing our vision for the new building come to life so quickly was incredible.
“The additional warehousing will make a real difference to our business.”
Charlie Watson, business development manager at Mar-Key Group, said: “Working on this build with Polyhose has been fantastic.
“The installation is around the corner from our manufacturing facility, and it was great to watch our team turn their empty land into usable space.”
Among the visitors was Chris Butcher, managing director of BFPA – the UK trade body for the hydraulic and pneumatic industries.
He presented Polyhose with a certificate congratulating them on 40 years in business, as the company was initially incorporated in 1985.
Chris added: “It was a pleasure to be invited to the official opening of the new Polyhose warehouse and to meet their hardworking team.
“The new building is fantastic and is an excellent example of the investment our members are making in the £1.5 billion-plus UK fluid power industry.”
Polyhose has also been a member of Dorset Chamber for more than 30 years.
Ian Girling, chamber chief executive, said: “Dorset has a vibrant and exciting business community.
“It’s a pleasure to visit projects like this and see chamber members working together to deliver economic growth.”
