OVO Energy to make a move in Bristol next year

Bristol-based OVO, one of the largest energy suppliers in the UK, has confirmed it will move into a new office in the city centre early next year.
OVO will vacate 1 Rivergate and move to Crescent in Temple Quay as its main Hub in Bristol. The energy supplier has 4,500 employees, with nearly 1,000 people working in Bristol.
The new office is focused on reducing environmental impact. By reusing the existing structure, the building avoided 3,200 tons of CO2e, helping to lower its carbon footprint. The building also includes energy-efficient systems, more sustainable materials, and a bike-friendly design.
In total, OVO will have 22,000 square feet of space in the building. The building offers a range of shared amenities, including a café for informal catch-ups and a fitness studio to help OVO’s people stay active.
Julia Diggs, VP People, OVO said: “We’ve been working hard searching for a space that truly reflects our culture, our commitment to zero-carbon living, and the way we work. Bristol has been OVO’s home since 2014 and we’re proud to be part of the community. We’ll be collaborating with our people to ensure the office design serves our people and needs today while evolving with us to meet the demands of the future”
Paul Richardson, investment manager at CEG, said: “It’s fantastic that OVO will be Crescent’s first occupier and we look forward to welcoming the team. Crescent is designed to create a productive environment for those who work here and I’m sure employees will appreciate the collaborative and healthy environment we have created.”
