MSP Capital gathers property professionals for Southampton summer social
South Coast property finance firm MSP Capital held a networking event in Southampton last week to thank clients, suppliers and community partners for sharing in its journey of growth over the past 43 years.
Around 90 property professionals including developers, valuers and surveyors came together with charity representatives at the firm’s summer social.
The afternoon celebration took place at The Bugle House events venue, a townhouse that overlooks the Royal Pier and dates back to 1846 as the former home of the Royal Southern Yacht Club.
Hosted by entrepreneur, business coach and entertainer Paul Kinvig, the social featured live music from Chichester-based guitarist Freddie Edwards – who’s toured with Status Quo and supported the likes of indie rockers Maximo Park and singer songwriter Ella Eyre.
The event capped off the first year of MSP Capital’s ESG strategy, Foundations for Better Futures, through which the firm aims to give back to its team, the environment, the local community and the property industry.
For every guest at the social, MSP Capital has planted a tree in the South of England in partnership with tree donation company Treeapp.
Paul Miracca, joint managing director of MSP Capital, said: “Since 1981, we’ve grown to become a leading bridging and development lender.
“Our summer social was an ideal face-to-face opportunity to celebrate and nurture our strong relationships across the property industry and the charities and community causes we support.
“It was a pleasure and privilege to lay on such top-quality music and entertainment for our guests and have so much fun together.”
Attendee Vincent Oddie, director of Trowbridge homebuilder Ingenic Developments, added: “Thanks to MSP Capital for a wonderful summer event.
“It was great to meet diverse people across our industry in terms of speciality, experience and more. It really helps.”
Catering for the event featured luxurious canapes prepared and served by the team at Molecular Magic Creative Catering, run by Bournemouth-based head chef Maciek Kijewski.
“Working with MSP Capital on their summer social has been a lovely experience,” said Elli Mae, Molecular Magic’s creative events and business coordinator.
“From early meetings exploring concepts through to the end it has been a pleasure to work with such a professional and creative team.
“We have great respect for businesses implementing sustainable processes into their company culture and applaud MSP Capital for doing it with such passion.
“We look forward to continuing our relationship in the future and putting on some further unforgettable events together.”
