Interior design firm secures first offices in Redditch

A specialist interior design firm has been launched in Redditch, by a longstanding local team.
Chapter 9 Design are now open on the Moons Moat industrial estate.
Sarah Clements, interior designer at Chapter 9 Design, said the team had all worked at Redditch interior design firm Claude Hooper until it closed down in 2024 due to retirement.
“After the retirement of Claude Hooper, we decided that we wanted to use our experienced team and bring fresh ideas and creativity to our clients.
“Our stylish and attractive designs can play a big role in highlighting the strengths of a new home.
“We took our proposal to a leading local businessman, Stephen Lomas, and he agreed to back us and come on board as the MD.
“With his support and our experience, we are now securing work all over the country, so being based in Redditch at the heart of the UK motorway system is hugely useful and gives us national reach.”
James Haynes, apprentice surveyor at John Truslove, helped the new firm secure a six-year lease on 1,756 sq ft of office space at Suite 4, Croft House, on Moons Moat Drive.
Sarah said: “We have a wonderful open plan space as our design hub, with break-out rooms for meetings. It is absolutely perfect for our needs and creates a great working environment.
“Our goal is to be an environmentally friend company and source sustainable products where possible.”
James Haynes, at John Truslove, said: “It is great to see such a talented and committed team of people creating their own new business and we are delighted to have been able to help them find the right premises.
“We are very pleased to have been able to secure our landlord such a bright and promising tenant, and hope that we can do the same for the other available suite of 2,497 sq ft.”
