The idea behind the move is that by 2050, 60% of traditional jobs in construction will no longer exist.
Hercules Site Services, based at South Cerney near Cirencester, employs around 800 people, from bricklayers to civil engineers and supplies labour to construction companies running major projects across the UK.
In an update post on Linkedin, the company said its new academy was "poised to make a significant impact on the local area and the entire UK construction industry".
"We have successfully completed the demolition phase, thanks to our contractor DSM Demolition Limited and their dedicated site team for their outstanding efforts," it said.
"Currently, our phase one internal refurbishment is underway, led by the skilled professionals from Apollo Commercial Interiors.
"We are on track to have our new team operating from the facility by the end of October, and training courses will commence shortly after that. Stay tuned for more updates as we finalise our comprehensive suite of training programs."
Hercules Site Services said it recognised the industry's challenges and was "confident" that the academy will play a pivotal role in addressing them.
"We look forward to sharing this momentous journey with employers, suppliers, manufacturers, and training providers. Together, we can deliver the very best in construction training throughout the UK," it added.
The company is assembling a network of partners who share its vision of inspiring learning, igniting talent, and empowering the workforce.
