Gloucester's Mears Group makes interim chair Jim Clarke permanent

Gloucester-based Mears Group, which provides services to the UK affordable housing and care sectors, has confirmed the appointment of interim chair Jim Clarke has been made permanent.
The firm told investors on Monday that Jim has spent the last 30 years serving on a number of PLC boards across a variety of sectors in both an Executive and Non-Executive capacity and will provide experience and continuity.

Jim joined the Mears' Board in 2019 and served most recently as Chair of Audit and Compliance Committee.

Last month the firm reported a strong financial first half, which saw group revenue rise eight per cent on last year.
Adjusted profit before tax increased by 18 per cent to stand at £21.3 million versus £18.1 million in H1, 2022.
