Developer Highwood tops out at luxury care home build in Nursling

Construction of a new luxury 80-bed care home at Adanac Park in Nursling, Southampton has reached the 'topping out' milestone.
Romsey-based property developer Highwood joined long-term partner Hamberley Development to mark the highest point of the build on November 13.

Construction on the Hamberley care home began in autumn 2022 and is scheduled for completion in 2024.
Adjacent is the development of a new, state-of-the-art 57-bedroom neuro rehab facility, which Highwood is building for Hamberley Development and Hamberley Neurocare due to open next summer.
"It’s great to be topping out at Adanac Park right on schedule," said Mark Baskerville, Highwood CEO.
"Our site team has been at the mercy of some atrocious weather conditions in recent weeks, but they’ve done a remarkable job of coordinating with Hamberley’s team and the supply chain to remain on track.
"Considering this is a site where we have two substantial, simultaneous builds taking place, what we’re achieving is really testament to the power of effective project management."
John Austin, managing director of Hamberley Development, added: "We’re delighted that the project has now reached this important milestone, it’s a real tribute to the hard work of the entire team.
"This latest Hamberley Care Home will bring truly high quality care to the people of Southampton, and we look forward to welcoming the first residents once the home is complete."
