Cheltenham among four new locations for MKM Building Supplies

Builder’s merchant MKM Building Supplies is set to launch four new branches this month in Plymouth, Bridgend, Bangor and Cheltenham.

The openings will create 74 jobs, with each branch featuring kitchen and bathroom showrooms, landscape displays and a stock of leading national brands.

They’ll all offer free, local next-day delivery and same-day delivery where possible.

MKM Cheltenham is the first of the company’s branches to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating for sustainability, with solar panels, air-source heat pumps, EV chargers and 100 per cent LED lighting.

It’s set to recruit 17 new staff, overseen by branch directors Dave McCombie and Jamie Cole – both with nearly two decades of experience in the industry.

They’ve already pledged support for local food banks, Men’s Shed, and Saracens under 18s football club.

Jamie said: “We want to bring back the feel-good factor to the building trade, offering a level of service that national merchants have lost touch with.

“Cheltenham deserves a merchant that truly cares about its customers and community.”
