Developer Charles Church has secured permission from the local council to build another 151 homes at the new Valley Park development in Didcot, Oxfordshire.

Valley Park, delivered by Charles Church Wessex, Persimmon Homes Wessex and their consortium partners, will ultimately comprise 4,254 properties – all equipped with air source heat pumps, electric vehicle charging points and solar panels.

Along with it will come two new primary schools, a special education school and a healthcare centre.

Seb Spiller, deputy managing director of Charles Church Wessex, said: “We’re thrilled to announce the approval for the next phase of homes at our Valley Park development in Didcot.

“Securing permission for an additional 151 properties is a significant milestone that underscores our commitment to delivering sustainable and high-quality housing in Oxfordshire.

“As a five-star builder, we’re proud to create a zero-carbon ready community that prioritises environmental responsibility.

“This development is not just about homes – it’s about creating a vibrant community with essential amenities, supported by a £50 million investment.

“We look forward to continuing to work closely with the council and our partners to bring this vision to life, fostering local job creation and economic growth while enhancing the quality of life for residents.”
