Kent law firm Thackray Williams partners with Crystal Palace
Kent and London law firm Thackray Williams is looking to reach a global audience through a new partnership with Premier League football club Crystal Palace.
The partnership puts the Thackray Williams brand on pitch-side LED displays and screens throughout Selhurst Park stadium as the Eagles’ home games are broadcast to fans across the world.
Partner Lewis Glasson, who heads up the firm’s sports division, said: “This partnership reinforces our growing influence in the sports sector.
“Thackray Williams’ commitment to excellence, paired with nurturing talent and proactively supporting their local communities, aligns with the values that run through the core of Palace, so we’re delighted to welcome them as our latest local partner.”
Thackray Williams’ sports team presents a new offering to the market, added Lewis.
“We’re different to other legal firms operating in the sector.
“Sport is a big business, with stakeholders at various levels, from the elite professionals to grass roots community clubs.
“People and businesses at all levels and of all abilities have legal issues, such as disputes, commercial deals or regulatory compliance.
“Not everyone can afford top level City of London rates, and there’s a growing demand for affordable, specialist legal advice in this sector.
“Thackray Williams is a challenger firm in the market. It’s a unique proposition that democratises access to specialist sports legal advice for everything from routine contracts to national and international disputes.
“The partnership with Crystal Place shows how the firm has grown from leading regional firm to having a City, and now national and international presence.”
The firm, which has offices in Bromley, Sevenoaks and West Wickham, made their debut at Selhurst Park during Palace’s first home game of the season on 24 August against West Ham.
