Hazlewoods advises on the successful sale of local telecoms firm

Hazlewoods Corporate Finance team is pleased to announce the successful sale of a well-established Gloucestershire telecoms firm.

Cheltenham-based F&L Accessories Ltd is a leading UK manufacturer and supplier of specialist steelwork for mobile phone masts. The business has been bought by Jupiter Capital Ltd.

Hazlewoods recently advised them on the sale of the family-owned business, which has been operating for more than three decades and has strong roots in the region.

Since inception in 1985, F&L Accessories Ltd has evolved in line with rapidly changing telecommunications.  In the 1990s, as mobile technology improved exponentially, the company already had considerable experience in the sector and was well-placed to supply off-the-shelf products, accessories and spare parts for masts, towers and other telecoms structures.

F&L Accessories Ltd also saw a gap in the market for brackets, nuts, bolts and plates that could be linked in a variety of ways to create an interconnecting mechanism. This proved popular with customers, as it reduced the downtime needed to work on specific projects.  For exiting owners, Ian and Fiona Francis, it is the end of an era and they are looking forward to taking life at a more leisurely pace.
