DRPG to mark 45 years with Big Build charity challenge
Creative agency DRPG is launching the Big Build charity challenge to celebrate its 45th anniversary.
Participants are set to compete in teams of four to six to assemble as many prosthetic hands as possible within an hour.
The challenge will be broadcast live from the group’s Worcestershire headquarters on 26 November, with the wider industry invited to join in remotely from their own offices.
Dale Parmenter, CEO of DRPG, said: “The Big Build challenge represents a unique opportunity for all of us in the industry to unite, give back and celebrate this significant milestone together.
“I look forward to seeing our creative community unite in this meaningful endeavour alongside our clients and team as we embark on an exciting year ahead."
The challenge comes as part of DRPG’s longstanding involvement with the Give a Hand charity teambuilding initiative from Lightbulb Teams, which aims to help those in developing countries who have lost a limb.
By building prosthetic hands, the group aims to give these people their independence back – allowing them to experience the ‘everyday’ movements taken for granted.
David Meade, founder of Lightbulb Teams, said: “With the Give a Hand programme, we’ve witnessed the incredible power of building something as vital as a prosthetic limb.
“It’s not just about creating a physical tool, but about restoring dignity, hope and a sense of possibility for people who’ve lost so much.
“Partnering with DRPG for its 45th anniversary is deeply meaningful to us, as it allows us to extend this life-changing impact to even more communities.
“We’re proud to be part of a celebration that truly changes lives.”
