Dorset’s Frettens Solicitors brings on new solicitor and students

Frettens Solicitors, with offices in Ringwood and Christchurch, Dorset, has expanded its team and welcomed new placement students for the upcoming year.
The firm’s family law team, now six strong, recently welcomed accomplished solicitor Bryony Spicer.
Bryony’s experience in family law includes matters involving children, financial remedy proceedings and court orders.
After completing her law degree at the University of Sussex in 2020, Bryony earned a distinction in her LPC and Master’s at the University of Law.
She completed her training contract at a high street firm in Brighton, where she developed a particular interest in family law.
She’s now joined the Frettens team in Ringwood.
“I’m very excited to have joined Frettens,” said Bryony. “Everyone I’ve spoken to has been so welcoming and friendly.
“The firm has exceeded its reputation for being a modern and accommodating workplace, and I’m looking forward to spending more time with everyone.”
Andrew Stynes, head of family at Frettens, said: “Bryony is a fantastic lawyer with bags of experience helping family law clients, making her an excellent addition to the team.
“Her addition enhances the balance of both junior and senior members of the team, allowing us to provide the best possible service to our clients.
“I for one am excited to see the positive impact that Bryony has on the team.”
Managing partner Matthew Fretten added: “It’s great that an increasing number of young, ambitious solicitors like Bryony want to join us as we continue to grow.”
Alongside Bryony’s appointment, the firm has also welcomed two new placement students, Susie Moore and Isobel Forward, at its Christchurch office.
Susie Moore, who completed a two-year law degree at Bournemouth University, will be assisting the employment and insolvency departments.
Before her studies, Susie gained practical experience at both the Magistrates’ Courts and Bournemouth Crown Court.
Susie said: “I’m delighted to be undertaking my placement year at Frettens.
“Everyone has been so welcoming and friendly, and I’m really looking forward to putting into practice some of what I’ve learned throughout my degree.”
Isobel Forward, currently pursuing an LLB law degree at Bournemouth University, will be working with the residential conveyancing team.
She brings experience in various legal areas, including criminal, family, wills and tax, and property law.
Isobel said: “I’m very excited to be starting my placement year with Frettens.
“I’ve received a very warm welcome, and an in-depth introduction in my first few days helped me settle in and feel comfortable in the work I’ll be completing.”
Matthew Fretten added: “The placement programme is something we’ve supported at Frettens for a while now, and alongside our graduate scheme, it forms a big part of our growth strategy.
“Susie and Isobel look to be a perfect fit for us, and they’re just two of the many hires we’re set to make this summer.”
