Countryside, a mixed-tenure developer specialising in place making and regeneration, has appointed Daniel McGowan as Chief Executive to lead the company’s recently created Partnerships Midlands division.

Most recently, Daniel was the Northern Divisional Chair for Taylor Wimpey overseeing the division’s business growth, customer excellence and operations.

Previously part of the long-established Partnerships North division, the creation of the Partnerships Midlands division highlights the company’s ambitious growth plans and which incorporates the regions of East, West and South Midlands – will enable Countryside’s continued geographical expansion in England including Bristol and the Chilterns.

Daniel McGowan, Chief Executive, Partnerships Midlands, Countryside, said: “Joining Countryside to lead the Partnerships Midlands division is a great privilege. Having worked across these areas for over three decades, I have been impressed by the business’ commitment in the region. I look forward to taking our journey to the next level ensuring we deliver on our promise to create places people love.”

Iain McPherson, Group Chief Executive Officer, Countryside, said: “The value which the Partnerships division brings to the communities we create is significant. Our long-standing, collaborative partnerships with housing associations and local authorities bring to life some of the most challenging projects, and result in thriving places people want to live and work.

“Daniel brings a wealth of in-depth regional experience, robust leadership and shared values which will be invaluable in strengthening our offering in the Midlands operating area and aid our expansion across England.”
