Two partners at Cheltenham’s Willans LLP named in Chambers guide
Two senior partners and a key department at Willans LLP in Cheltenham have been recognised in the latest Chambers High Net Worth guide.
Simon Cook, partner and head of the wills, trusts and probate team at Willans, has featured in every edition of the guide since it was first published in 2016.
Meanwhile, Paul Gordon, partner and head of litigation and dispute resolution, has made the ranking for the sixth consecutive year.
Paul, who’s described by Chambers as ‘tactically brilliant’, was named in the South West’s private wealth disputes category.
He was acknowledged for being ‘commercially savvy, realistic with clients and very experienced’.
Simon, who recently celebrated 30 years as a solicitor, landed a spot in the top band for private wealth law in Cheltenham and the surrounding area.
He’s been described as ‘very approachable, affable and knowledgeable, with good manners with clients’.
The wills, trusts and probate team at Willans were also recognised for their services in private wealth law and described as a ‘strong team that has depth at every level of seniority’, with ‘excellent knowledge … and a broad range of skills’.
Bridget Redmond, the firm’s managing partner, said: “I’d like to congratulate Paul, Simon and the wills, trusts and probate team on once again being recognised in Chambers’ High Net Worth guide.
“I’m incredibly proud of the level of service both they and their teams continue to provide year-on-year.
“Being named in this prestigious guide for almost a decade is an outstanding achievement for a firm of our size and reflects the quality and calibre of Willans’ lawyers.”
The guide is compiled following an in-depth research process by a team of independent editors who personally speak to clients and referees.
Results are based on factors including expertise and legal ability, client service and satisfaction, market reputation, responsiveness and commercial vision.
