Surrey medical cannabis firm Glass Pharms signs multimillion-pound deal
Glass Pharms, a medical cannabis producer with a registered office in Surrey, has entered into a multimillion-pound partnership with Releaf.
The agreement will see Glass Pharms supply 145kg of high-quality medical grade cannabis to the growing online clinic.
Releaf’s doctors are currently seeing more than 100 patients a day in the UK, and its patient base is expected to exceed the current size of the domestic sector – estimated at 45,000 people – within the next 12 months.
By working with Glass Pharms, the company is looking to address the prescription reliability issues that have plagued the industry and hindered the maturation of other businesses.
Tim Kirby, CEO of Releaf, said: “This partnership with Glass Pharms marks a significant milestone not just for Releaf but for the entire UK medical cannabis industry.
“It’s the largest deal in UK history and underlines the growing recognition of medical cannabis as a legitimate healthcare solution.
“By securing a high-quality domestic supply of this medication, we’re not just meeting demand – we’re setting a new standard for reliability and patient care in this sector."
Glass Pharms uses AI and robotic automation in its cultivation of medical cannabis, ensuring product quality and consistency.
It also operates with a carbon-negative footprint, aligning with Releaf’s environmental goals.
