Kentish Oils and Condiments caps off growth with move to new factory

Kentish Oils and Condiments has moved into a new purpose-built factory near Sandwich, Kent.
The move comes following a period of substantial growth, with the brand having won two large contracts with Sittingbourne-based frozen ready meal maker COOK and Shoreham-based pie and quiche maker Higgidy.
Complete with a development kitchen, the new factory boosts Kentish Oil and Condiments’ production capacity and enables them to work with other companies to ‘own label’ products on their behalf.
The new equipment will also allow for the production of hot fill products like jams and chutneys, expanding their current product range.
Owner Laura Bounds MBE said: “It’s such an exciting time for the business and the new factory marks the next stage in our ambitious growth plans.
“Our state-of-the-art facilities will allow us to develop further partnerships and collaborate with bigger businesses like Cook and Higgidy pies, along with plenty of our own product development too, which I know our customers have been looking forward to.”
Manufacturing has already started in the new unit, with the development kitchen set to be up and running from September.
