Roots + Seeds to open second restaurant at Gloucester Food Dock

The Food Dock Gloucester is set to welcome it’s newest business to the independent food and drink neighbourhood in the New Year. Cirencester based Roots + Seeds Café & Kitchen will be taking the last quayside space with a large interior and outdoor seating and views over Gloucester Docks.
They will be serving up coffee, breakfast, brunch and lunch daily, and dinner on Friday and Saturday nights. Head Chef Sam Idoine creates menus of modern British dishes with French influences using locally sourced produce from suppliers and growers within a 25-mile radius of Gloucester, including Roots + Seeds very own garden.
Co-Founders Toby Baggott and Sam Lawson-King are passionate about using fresh, locally sourced produce. All food will be freshly made to order and will include locally reared beef, lamb, pork, poultry and game from the Bathurst Estate with fresh fish and seafood delivered daily from Brixham as well as locally foraged ingredients such as wild garlic, nettles, dandelions, wild edible flowers blackberries and woodland mushrooms, when available.
Food Dock Co-Founder Ken Elliott said “This is a fantastic space and we are delighted to have Roots + Seeds Café & Kitchen making it their own."
"We are just so excited to be able to open our second restaurant at Gloucester Food Dock,” says Roots + Seeds co-founder Toby Baggott. “Not only is this area a successful hub known for its superb independent food outlets, but is also a wonderful and historic location with fantastic views over Victoria Basin.
