Heartwood Inns buys two more inns from Whitbread
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has brokered the sale of two Whitbread restaurants to Heartwood Collection.
Heartwood was founded in 1996 as Le Petit Blanc by the celebrated chef Raymond Blanc. Later rebranded as Brasserie Blanc, new sites opened across the UK.
The company was bought out by private equity in 2011, and last year rebranded to become Heartwood Collection. The business aims to expand to 61 pubs and restaurants in the UK by 2027.
Its latest acquisitions are The George & Dragon in Marlow, Buckinghamshire and the Red Lion in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Heartwood has now acquired four sites from Whitbread through Christie & Co, with the expanding hospitality group having also purchased the Foresters in Chingford and The Manor Inn, Godalming earlier this year. Both properties are set to undergo multi-million pound refurbishments.
