Bristol-based PR agency Empica is to sponsor local karting prodigy Charlie Simmonds. Empica will be providing comprehensive PR support to 13-year-old Charlie Simmonds as he begins the next stage of his karting career.

Despite only competing in six of eight rounds last season, Charlie, who lives in Bristol, finished 10th out of 41 drivers in the Daniel Ricciardo Series 45 category, showcasing his potential as he now prepares to take on the challenge of DRS100.

Empica, one of the South West’s longest established PR agencies, will be joining Bristol AudiZenico RacingSentient Electrical ServicesParker’s Estate Agents and Country Property in sponsoring this local karting talent.

This partnership with Empica underlines the importance of investment in motorsport. Karting is an expensive endeavour and many young drivers struggle to find the financial backing necessary to progress in their careers. Empica aims to alleviate some of these challenges by helping Charlie establish a personal brand that is attractive to potential sponsors.

“We’re thrilled to support Charlie as he takes this important step in his karting career,” Martin Powell, executive chairman at Empica, said. “His achievements at such a young age are impressive and we believe that, with the right support, he can reach even greater heights. Our goal is to help him build his brand and attract the financial backing necessary to fuel his passion for racing.”

Those interested in Charlie’s journey can follow him on Instagram and Facebook, or read about his achievements and recent updates on his blog. These platforms will serve as a hub for fans and sponsors alike, allowing them to engage with Charlie’s progress and support his career.

Established in Bristol in 1989, Empica provides PR, communications and content creation services to a wide range of clients across the South West as well as nationally and internationally. With an in-house videographer, the 10-strong team supports businesses and not-for-profit organisations in all sectors.
