The Solent Cluster welcomes local SME owner as non-exec director
The Solent Cluster, a low carbon investment initiative for the Solent region, has appointed Jack Lewis as a non-executive director.
Jack is co-founder of two Solent-based SMEs, Ada Mode and Windscope – both dedicated to advancing net zero goals through digital technologies.
Anne-Marie Mountifield, chair of The Solent Cluster, said: “The cluster is committed to a lower carbon future, bringing jobs and economic prosperity to our region while contributing to the UK’s net zero ambitions.
“I’m delighted to welcome Jack to the board at this exciting time.
“His extensive experience and passion for clean energy technologies will be invaluable in supporting SMEs and helping us achieve our decarbonisation goals.”
Jack’s involvement with The Solent Cluster isn’t new – his company, Ada Mode, has been leading the modelling activity for the Solent local industrial decarbonisation plan.
As a chartered mechanical engineer with a background in power station management and digital innovation, Jack brings plenty of expertise to his new role.
His work includes managing the UK’s first commercial-scale biogas plant and developing AI strategies for Sellafield, which manages nuclear waste.
Jack said: “I’m passionate about driving the region’s economic prosperity through net zero innovation.
“I’m looking forward to using my expertise to help The Solent Cluster achieve its decarbonisation ambitions, ensuring our local communities benefit."
Jack joins a diverse group of board directors from industry, education and the public sector.
