Sue Ryder Palliative Care Hub South Oxfordshire and In House Estate Agents are moving their partnership to the next phase following a successful start to the year which has seen more than £1,700 raised helping to provide more care to more people.

In House first opened the door to its partnership with the Wallingford-based hub, which provides expert care at home and in the community to people who are living with life-limiting conditions in January this year, with a unique pledge to donate the cost of an hour of Sue Ryder care for every house that they sold.

Corporate partners play a key role in working to ensure that Sue Ryder can be there for people during the most difficult times of their lives. The £,1764 raised to date by In House is estimated to be equivalent to 84 hours of care - on average 17 hours of care a month – for patients supported by the hub at home in the community.

The local estate agent who serve the Wallingford and Didcot community hope that by extending the partnership for at least the next six months, more people will benefit from the specialist medical care and support that the Sue Ryder hub provides.

Meghan Bentley is Community Fundraiser at Sue Ryder Palliative Care Hub South Oxfordshire. She said: “We would like to thank In House for their incredibly generous pledge and for all of the money that they have raised so far.

"With their support, and the support of other Oxfordshire businesses past and present, we can continue to be there for people at the time they need us most.”

Steve Puddifoot, owner of In House, said: “In House Estate Agents, with the support of its customers, is delighted to have raised so much for Sue Ryder Palliative Care Hub South Oxfordshire.

"We know that Sue Ryder will have touched the hearts of many of our clients at some point in their lives, so it was an easy decision to extend our partnership with them. Everyone at In House remain committed to championing such an amazing cause.”

Sue Ryder is looking for more Oxfordshire businesses to support them the coming year. If you would like to find out more you can get in touch by contacting the Sue Ryder Palliative Care Hub South Oxfordshire fundraising team on 01491 522 818 or email [email protected]
