InstaVolt charge points to be powered by green energy from Octopus
Hampshire-based electric car charging operator InstaVolt has teamed up with Octopus Energy to supply its charge points with 100 per cent green power.
Octopus already supplies around a third of the electricity on Britain’s public charging network, but this latest deal makes InstaVolt its biggest customer to date.
The company’s chargers can be found at more than 800 locations across the UK.
It’s recently expanded into Iceland and will soon launch in Spain, Portugal and Ireland.
Delvin Lane, CEO of InstaVolt, said: “InstaVolt is excited to strengthen our ongoing partnership with Octopus Energy.
“By powering our chargers with Octopus’s green energy, we can further deliver on our promise to provide 100 per cent renewable energy across our charging network.
“This means our customers can charge their vehicles knowing they’re using the cleanest energy available.
“Additionally, this collaboration allows us to participate in Octopus’ ‘plunge pricing’ events, offering our customers lower charging costs when green energy is abundant.”
