Energy grants expanded for West of England businesses

Businesses and organisations across the West of England can now apply for grants of up to £15,000 to invest in energy-efficient upgrades.
This latest round of West of England Green Business Grants is intended to help companies fund solar panels, heat pumps, insulation, LED lighting and other equipment.
The scheme has already enabled savings of almost £500,000 and around 500 tonnes of carbon emissions annually.
Grants cover between 30 and 60 per cent of capital costs for eligible energy-saving projects.
There’s also a free carbon survey available to help organisations identify opportunities.
Dan Norris, mayor of the West of England, said: “We know that energy bills have a real impact on local businesses and communities.
“I want to see our region thrive while supporting businesses and charities to do their bit for net zero.
“That’s why I’m expanding the Green Business Grants programme to give a helping hand for even more organisations to cut their energy bills.”
Applications are assessed on a rolling basis, and eligible projects must be completed by March 2026.
