Seven regional operators merge to form The Coach Travel Group

The Coach Travel Group incorporates The Ready Group of Berkshire, Barnes Coaches of Wiltshire, and Johnsons Coaches of Warwickshire, as well as Alpine Travel, Coatham Coaches, JH Coaches, and Swans Travel from further afield.

Tom Stables, CEO of The Coach Travel Group, said: “Today marks a significant milestone not only for our group but for the UK coach travel industry.

“By bringing together these renowned and trusted, regional operators under one roof, we are setting the stage for an unparalleled travel experience.

“We’re committed to being at the forefront of the industry, ensuring every mile travelled with us is a testament to the quality and innovation we stand for.”

FRP Corporate Finance advised on the merger, led by director Alex Hunton, consultant Dave Howes, and assistant manager Cameron Robertson.

FRP helped form the strategy and bring the seven operators together, including approaching investors and helping to navigate the complexities of merging the different groups.

Dave said: “We’re proud to have supported this landmark transaction, helping to ensure a satisfactory outcome for all parties.

“Each of the companies in the group brings years of rich heritage, proven expertise, and deep connections with the communities they serve, and we wish the new organisation all the best for its next stage of growth.”

Kieran Swindells, managing director of Swans Travel and commercial director of The Coach Travel Group, added: “We thank the team at FRP for their invaluable support throughout a highly complex process.

“They have expertly guided this merger from the initial concept right through to completion.”

The merger was backed by H2 Equity Partners.
