PDAS Group, which provides end-to-end sewerage and surface water pumping solutions, has been sold to Pump Supplies.

Established in 2014 by Paul Warner and based in Camberley, Surrey, with a secondary office in Birmingham, PDAS provides end-to-end sewerage and surface water pumping solutions.

It covers system design, installation, commissioning and maintenance for clients across the UK.

The company has become renowned for its use of remote telemetry and cloud-based technology to provide real-time monitoring and maintenance of wastewater systems for residential and commercial developments.

Employing 63 staff, PDAS generated sales exceeding £15 million during the 2023-24 fiscal year and has been acquired in a deal facilitated through Pump Supplies’ Swedish parent company, Vestum AB, through existing cash and credit facilities.

Pump Supplies is headquartered in Gloucester and has five depots across England, Wales and Ireland, employing 89 staff under managing director Luke Beattie.

The company was founded in 1982 and supplies drainage, sewage and slurry pumps, along with a range of accessories and pipe systems.

Paul Warner of PDAS said: “We’re so excited to be joining Pump Supplies and the Vestum stable.

“We know Luke and the Pump Supplies team share the same ethos and commitment that we have to our customers across all markets, and that the business has exciting plans which dovetail perfectly with our growth aspirations.”

Luke Beattie added: “This acquisition allows us to combine our strengths and inspire greater confidence in our services.

“PDAS’ expertise in intelligent monitoring aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing comprehensive pumping solutions.”

Pump Supplies is the largest company in the Vestum group, which comprises more than 60 niche businesses in the UK and Scandinavia divided into water, services and infrastructure segments.

Simon Gothberg, CEO of Vestum, said: “PDAS constitutes an excellent add-on acquisition to Pump Supplies.

“This is Vestum’s first acquisition in two years and there are concrete synergies on both the revenue and cost side.

“PDAS can leverage the broad customer network Pump Supplies has built over 40 years to further accelerate growth in recurring revenue.”

Jay Singh, KBS Corporate Finance director, led the transaction.

He added: “PDAS is an excellent, growing company with an exceptional management team.

“Becoming part of the Vestum Group will allow the business to grow and expand its current service offering.

“It was a pleasure to advise the shareholders, and we wish them all the best for the future.”
