Atech Cloud is a Microsoft Solutions Partner and subsidiary of Kookaburra Topco.
Based in Marlow, it delivers public cloud digital transformation and managed security services.
The business and its holding company has now sold to iomart in Glasgow, which hopes through the deal to expand its cloud service offering across Microsoft platforms for mid-market customers.
Atech CEO Ryan Langley is now set to join iomart as group CTO.
He said: “Both businesses share the same ambition – to be at the forefront of bringing the most in demand secure cloud offerings to our customers, enabling them to modernise their systems, harness the power of Microsoft AI capabilities, drive operational and process efficiencies – all with a secure by design approach.”
Lucy Dimes, CEO of iomart, added: “This is a game changing acquisition for iomart.
“Joining forces with Atech marks a significant milestone in our strategy to be ‘Bigger, Better, Bolder’, and accelerates both businesses’ shared mission to be at the forefront of leading-edge secure cloud services.”
Claritas Tax supported Atech investor Pelican Capital on the sale.
Adam Keates, associate partner at Claritas, said: “We advised Pelican on their investment into Atech in 2022 and have remained involved in advising on the group’s tax affairs throughout the life of the investment.
“It’s extremely rewarding to support them on another successful exit, which sees a 3.2 times return for their investors within three years and adds to their already impressive and growing track record.”
