Sumer , a mid-market accountancy practice for SMEs, has acquired Staffordshire-based DPC Chartered Accountants.
Operating from its Stoke-on-Trent office, DPC provides audit, accounts, corporate and personal tax advice, compliance counsel, payroll, and wider business services.
Having now acquired its eleventh firm across the UK, Sumer’s strategy focuses on creating regional Hubs dedicated to serving the SME market, significantly empowering local communities, and bolstering the broader economy.
DPC is also strategically located between existing Sumer Hubs, Cowgills and Jerroms, who’ve joined Sumer in the last 12 months. This positioning will enhance coverage and strengthen Sumer’s reach between the Midlands and North West.
Warren Mead, CEO of Sumer said: “DPC dominates the accounting sector in Staffordshire, an area which has huge potential for economic growth. Sumer wants to join forces with people who share our commitment to growth, go the extra mile for clients, and care about their colleagues. With DPC’s impressive team, established roots and solid reputation, combined with our reach and scale, we can help local businesses prosper.”
Michelle Coates, Director at DPC Accountants, said: “Our firm has continually delivered a robust value proposition for both clients and our team. Sumer embodies ethics that closely mirror our own, particularly their exemplary record in championing diversity and supporting SMEs. This synergy makes them an ideal partner for us, as we continue to excel and advocate for Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas.”
