Beacon LLP is a Whiteley-based provider of corporate and personal insolvency solutions, previously led by partners and directors Matthew Fox and Cheryl Brown.
They both now join FTS Recovery, headquartered in Milton Keynes, which has acquired Beacon to expand its national presence.
Marco Piacquadio, director and head of FTS Recovery, said: “We’re always on the lookout for exceptional insolvency talent to bring into the FTS family, and Beacon’s record made them a great fit for us.
“We’re particularly excited to welcome Matthew and Cheryl to our team.
“In addition to Matthew’s corporate book, personal insolvency is a previously untapped market for us, and their dedicated commitment to rebuilding their clients’ financial futures echoes our own values and outlook perfectly.
“It will also offer new growth and opportunities for our employees across the UK.”
Cheryl is a personal insolvency specialist with over 25 years’ experience working for the Insolvency Service and in private practice.
She said: “This is an exciting opportunity for me and my team to bring our specialist expertise to this established national firm.
“I look forward to helping clients across the UK to navigate the financial hurdles towards a more prosperous future.”
Matthew, a 30-year veteran of corporate insolvency and restructuring services, added: “FTS Recovery has a proven track record in the corporate restructuring market which I greatly respect.
“I look forward to merging our areas of expertise and capabilities into a stronger force that is best placed to serve all our client’s needs.”
This is FTS Recovery’s second acquisition of the year, following the purchase of business rescue and insolvency practitioners FA Simms in January.
The firm has now widened its geographic scope to include Essex, Basingstoke, Poole, Alton and Whiteley.
