Surrey leather accessories brand Snakehive closes in on £100k Seedrs goal

Snakehive, a Surrey-based designer of leather phone cases and accessories, has reached the 90 per cent mark in an ongoing campaign on crowdfunding platform Seedrs.
The ‘fast-fashion-phobic’ brand has so far caught the interest of 110 investors as it looks to raise £100,000 towards scaling up the business.
Its now 13-strong team in Dorking is led by ex-Credit Suisse analyst Tim Thorp, who launched the brand back in July 2014.
Snakehive has since shipped more than a million products to 280,000 international customers – starting with phone cases, but expanding in 2022 to accessories.
The company’s latest annual revenues came in at £4 million, bringing its all-time revenues to more than £26 million.
Provided they reach the £100,000 target, Tim and the team will look to further invest in product development and launch a customer loyalty scheme to help increase order frequency.
And with interest picking up in the EU and US, they also plan to boost international revenues by looking into dedicated marketing resources to localise websites by country.
The campaign runs until Wednesday 10 July at seedrs.com/snakehive
