Leamington Spa micro turbine pioneer falls into administration

A pioneer in the design, development and manufacture of Micro Turbine Gensets for the telecom tower market has fallen into administration after struggling to secure next stage funding.
Matthew Ingram and Mark Blackman of Kroll have been appointed as Joint Administrators of Bladon Jets (UK) Limited.
Bladon Jets is a pioneer in the design, development, and manufacture of Micro Turbine Gensets (MTGs).
MTGs provide the most practical solution for immediate transition to zero carbon power generation. They use high-speed, ultra reliable and clean-burning microturbines together with patented air-bearing and heat exchanger technologies that has transformed distributed power generation.
Bladon Jets has made multi-million pound investment into the business in the last few years, as it turned its groundbreaking technology into a power generation solution. Unfortunately, the business struggled to secure the next stage funding required in the short term which created uncertainty and cash-flow challenges.
Kroll is now seeking a buyer for the business and assets of the company.
Matt Ingram, Managing Director. Kroll said “Bladon Jets is at the forefront of developing market leading, twenty first century power generation services. The significant investment in this technology over the last few years now represents a real opportunity for the right buyer to access their market leading research and development, advanced production capabilities and fully researched go to market proposition as the business looks to scale its operations.”
