Kent palm oil business M.P. Evans continues to boost production
M.P. Evans Group, a Tunbridge Wells-based producer of sustainable Indonesian palm oil, has shared interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2024.
The group processed 759,000 tonnes of crop during the period – up 5 per cent on a year prior – and boosted its certified sustainable production by 24 per cent to 119,500 tonnes.
Profits have risen in kind by 78 per cent to £31.5 million.
Peter Hadsley-Chaplin, chair of M.P. Evans Group, said: “Following higher production and higher palm oil prices, the board is delighted to report a significantly improved first-half profit and a 20 per cent increase in the interim dividend.
“The second half of the year has, thus far, seen palm oil prices strengthen further.
“Accordingly, the group is well placed for another strong result for 2024 as a whole.”
