Legal and professional services group, Gateley Legal, has appointed Keith Lancaster (featured above, left) as legal director of its Guildford office.

Lancaster, who will join the office’s planning team, brings more than 20 years’ experience advising residential developers, landowners and public sector bodies on planning, environmental and compulsory purchase issues.

He has previous experience in a number of sectors working on projects including large residential developments, land promotion projects, high-rise urban developments, and regional distribution centres, as well as litigation and compulsory purchase work.

His new post will see him charged with leading residential development schemes, retail projects and compulsory purchase work along with guiding the growth of the South East planning team.

Andrew Piatt (featured above, right), real estate partner and head of planning at Gateley Legal, said: “Keith brings a wealth of experience which will bolster the South East planning team and its service offering to meet increasing workload demands.

“With a strong background in residential development work, Keith will be able to utilise his experience to support both current and new clients on a variety of regeneration schemes.”
