Basingstoke’s EC Electronics Group acquires Liad Electronics

EC Electronics Group, a Hampshire-based provider of electronics manufacturing services, has acquired Dutch firm Liad Electronics.
The deal was funded through a debt package from Shawbrook Bank alongside further funding from Rockpool Investments.
Liad specialises in printed circuit board assemblies for a high-tech client base. The team will continue to be overseen by director Rick Meesters, who’s set to join the board.

This marks the second acquisition for EC Electronics since an investment from Rockpool in September 2022.

EC Electronics and Rockpool were advised on the deal by Cavendish (debt advisory), Taylor Wessing (EC debt and equity legals), Evelyn (vendor financial and tax), Van Campen Liem (Liad legals and Dutch tax), Accuracy (Liad financial and commercial) and Claritas (UK tax).
Shawbrook were advised by Addleshaw Goddard (legals).
