Dorset-based CMP Print Solutions celebrating 30 years in business

Poole-based CMP Print Solutions is looking forward to further success as the firm celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.
From humble beginnings, and despite the challenges of the rapidly changing industry, the print company has remained resilient and carved a niche for itself in the sector.
A 35% increase in business is expected this year and 45% growth is projected for next year.
The firm said a key driver of growth has been the appointment of Toby Culff as business development manager, whose background in publishing has opened exciting new doors.
Indeed, in 2011, CMP entered the publishing industry, a move that proved vital during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the company not only survived but thrived.
"We didn’t have a rigid plan when we started out, but the business has evolved as opportunities arose," said Paul Dawe, managing director and founder of the Dorset firm.
"We’ve focused on finding the right people, working with the right clients, and building a fantastic team that shares our vision. We only take on projects that fit us and that we know we can execute to the highest standard.
"We’ve always made decisions around efficiency and technology, ensuring that we stay ahead of the curve and deliver the best to our clients. This approach has served us well.
"I’ve loved being the glue in the middle, maintaining strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
"Seeing so many of our staff stay with us for years, even decades, has been incredibly rewarding, we’re a strong team of 12."
CMP serves clients across the UK, with 90% of its work coming from outside the region. Pre-Brexit, the company also operated internationally. It also owns its 7,000 sq ft premises, underscoring the company's stability and long-term commitment to its operations.
