The organisers of Worcestershire’s BetaDen Accelerate are celebrating after it was named the 'Best Tech Accelerator' in the UK for the second time at this year's UK Business Tech Awards held in London.

Donston Powell, external affairs director at BetaDen, said: "Winning this award for the second time is a testament to the remarkable progress we’ve made over the last few years and our unwavering commitment to supporting tech innovation in the county.
"It is an honour to be recognised as the UK’s top technology accelerator and reinforces our mission to drive economic growth and innovation from Worcestershire while delivering exceptional support to the businesses we work with."
BetaDen Accelerate is a nine-month programme, which includes free co-working space at the Malvern Hills Science Park, intensive mentoring, and access to grant funding.
Since first winning the 'Best Tech Accelerator award' back in 2022, BetaDen has forged new partnerships, experienced increased demand for its services and expanded its programme to include a technology incubator in partnership with Barclays Eagle Labs.
The programme, funded by the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership and UK Shared Prosperity Fund, now boasts a portfolio of over 50 trailblazing businesses, with the newest cohort of companies beginning in June this year.
BetaDen also has an Incubate programme, which is a two-month programme comprising a co-working space at The Kiln in Worcester, a programme of workshops, and individual guidance from industry experts.
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government's Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March, 2025.
