Cardinal Clinic, a leading mental health clinic in Windsor, has launched Cardinal Corporate, to help businesses support staff members dealing with mental health issues and implement strategies to ensure the overall well-being of their teams.

There has been a significant increase in people suffering from depression, anxiety and other mental health issues over the past few years so it’s vital for businesses to develop strategies to support their staff, help those who may be facing mental health challenges and create a culture of openness and understanding within the workforce.

Cardinal Clinic is the sponsor of the Workplace Mental Health Award, a category in the annual Thames Valley Business Magazine Awards.

There are three main programmes available through Cardinal Corporate: Be Well, which runs resilience workshops for business leaders and staff; Get Well, which offers short residential stays, day sessions and out-patient services for staff dealing with mental health issues and Stay Well, a programme which includes an in-depth analysis of existing company policies for maintaining mental well-being, ensuring alignment with the government mental health strategy and putting in place a plan of action to help companies implement new systems.

Christine Harrington, hospital director at Cardinal Clinic, commented: "With increasing numbers of people suffering from mental health issues such as depression and anxiety, mental well-being is becoming a priority for employers. Cardinal Corporate has been established to ensure that organisations are able to access advice and practical support to help them deal with the mental health issues their staff may be facing, but more importantly, how to train their staff on how to develop the skills they need to maintain good mental health."
