Upskill this winter at the University of Kent
Join our two new professional development courses and boost your career and professional performance.
This winter, we are offering the following two professional development training courses delivered by the University of Kent's world-class academics and industry experts:
• Discover and Develop your Cultural Intelligence: a 6-hour, instructor-led online course to help you thrive in international and multicultural situations.
Cultural intelligence (CQ) refers to your ability to work, adapt and successfully communicate in different cultural and international settings. In today's globalised world, it is increasingly vital for personal and professional success. CQ enables meaningful cross-cultural relationships, and effective local and global collaboration.
This course covers the four key elements of CQ—motivation, knowledge, strategy and behaviour—and enables you to reflect, analyse and adjust to your specific everyday and professional needs.
Completing this course at Kent, you will understand your CQ and current CQ level, and learn how you can develop, apply and harness it in professional and interpersonal contexts. You will improve your intercultural communication, enhance your global competitiveness, build your confidence and develop your leadership potential.
Our facilitators are certified by the Cultural Intelligence Centre. The course includes a certified CQ Test result and analysis, an Action Plan of how to implement and continue improving your CQ, and a template text for your CV and/or LinkedIn page.
This course is ideal for managers and team leaders, and for those working in the third sector, services and education, as well as in stakeholder engagement. It is likewise, beneficial to individuals, companies and organisations who work or want to expand their activities in international and diverse contexts; work with international clients; and wish to refine their EDI strategies and relevant training.
Next cohort: 20 January 2025 for just £670. For more information on contents and how to register, visit the course’s website.
