Reading's PCT extends relationship with motorbike manufacturer KTM

Reading-based software firm PTC has hailed the extension of its long-standing relationship with sports motorbikes manufacturer KTM with the latter selecting its Codebeamer system for use as its standardised Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) platform.

Th aim is to centralise and optimise KTM's engineering processes in both hardware and software development.

"KTM's goal is to maintain and continuously expand our leading position in motorbike development," said a spokesperson.

"To achieve this, it is sometimes crucial to bring high-quality innovations to the market faster and the integration of Codebeamer into our workflows will help us to achieve this by implementing highly efficient development processes."

Christoph Bräuchle, senior vice -president and general manager of PTC's ALM segment, added: "This deal reinforces our strategy to accelerate digital transformation in the dynamic automotive industry.

"It gives us special motivation to deploy our solution to support KTM in the development of its fascinating and innovative products."

PTC is a leading software company that enables industrial and manufacturing companies to optimise the way they design, manufacture and maintain physical products.
