Persimmon Homes to build more than 1,200 additional homes in West Midlands
A national housebuilder has hit a key milestone which will see the company build an additional 1,200 homes in the West Midlands region.
Persimmon Homes, which has regional offices in Telford, Birmingham and Studley and North Midlands has received planning approval on sites in Lichfield, Kenilworth, Redditch, Sandwell and Burton on Trent in the last six months.
The company has recently acquired additional land for development in Dunchurch and Bedworth with a further acquisition in Wednesbury due later this month.
Stephen Cleveley, Regional Chairman for Persimmon Homes said: “The West Midlands is of vital importance to our company. We see lots of opportunity to deliver quality homes in the area and ultimately support the government’s target of building 1.5 million new homes over the next five years. Our relationships with Local Authorities and Registered Housing Providers are key to this success and we value the engagement we have with these organisations.
"Our national timber frame factory, which manufactures our timber frames, highly insulated wall panels and roof cassettes for up to 9,500 of our homes around the country, is based in Castle Bromwich, reinforcing our commitment to the area."”
