A new series of 1980s reboot You Bet! is set to come back to screens next month and is filmed at Shinfield Studios - the huge new film and television complex in Berkshire.

In a LinkedIn post, the studios said the series, presented by Stephen Mulhern and Holly Willoughby, looked "absolutely fantastic" and was a "really big show!"

On site tenants at the site near Reading, MSS Safety provided production H&S, paramedic and fire / rescue cover throughout the location challenges and studio filming, it added.

The series is produced by Rollercoaster Television, part of ITV Studios, and will air on ITV on December 7 at 8.15pm.

Based on an original German series Wetten Dass?, You Bet! first aired in the UK back in 1988. It sees members of the public try and pull off challenges for a chance to win a big cash prize.

Shinfield Studios is owned by US-based Shadowbox Studios (Shadowbox) - a leading independent film and television studio platform - and covers a one million sq ft site east of Reading.

It features 18 sound stages, 38 workshops, substantial office space, and a nine-acre filming backlot.

It has opened in phases over the last two years and this summer (2024) it was reported that the site was fully operational.
