National Lorry Week launched in Stroud
The 10th National Lorry Week launched at haulage firm Howard Tenens near Stroud today to champion the industry and people driving business to our roads.
The week promotes the wealth of career opportunities available, ensuring the sector has the right people and skills to meet future demands and drive further economic growth.
The Road Haulage Association roadshow travels the UK for three weeks promoting the industry as an aspirational career choice, visiting RHA members, industry partners and education establishments.
The RHA is the nation trade body that represents the logistics industry and commercial vehicle operators. It chair is Moreton Cullimore, of the Cullimore Group, which has its headquarters near Gloucester.
Moreton said: "I was privileged to be able to open the RHA National Lorry Week this morning in Stroud, the town I grew up in."
