Marmion House, in the centre of Worcester, is poised to get a makeover after Midlands property firm EDG has bought the prominent building.

Situated on the corner of High Street and Copenhagen Street, its High Street frontage is already home to Joules and Moss Bros, while on Copenhagen Street is Keystones Cocktail Bar.

The upper three floors are offices, let to tenants, including GMP Recruitment, Big Helping, and Boulevard.

There are currently three vacant office suites which EDG will refurbish before bringing them to market to let at the end of this calendar year, through appointed letting agents GJS Dillon.

EDG also has plans to significantly improve several areas of the building, with investment in the entrance space, reception area, communal spaces and amenity zones.

Neil Edginton, director of EDG Property, said: "The building is already home to some highly regarded tenants.

"We plan to invest in improving the exterior and upper floor offices of Marmion House and to cement its place in the market as one of the best office buildings in Worcester City Centre.

"There is additional development potential to enhance the property and further diversify the uses, and we have already instructed architects to work on this."

Andrew Lewis of GJS Dillon added: "Marmion House is in a prime position in Worcester City Centre and with the refurbishment plans EDG has, we believe there will be strong tenant demand for the available space when we launch.

"We are immediately marketing a ground floor retail unit and will be bringing the offices to the market once the refurbishment works are completed in December."

The property adds to EDG's growing investment portfolio, which includes recent acquisitions in Coventry, Weymouth and Dorchester.
