The Lord Lieutenant of Gloucestershire, Edward Gillespie, has presented The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category to the TruffleHunter team at the company’s HQ near Cirencester.

TruffleHunter, one of the world’s leading suppliers of fresh truffles and truffle products, was awarded The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category in April.

The award was accepted by Timaima Qio, production supervisor at TruffleHunter.

Established over 10 years ago by Nigel Whitehouse and his wife Omi Pears. The couple dreamt of combining their passion for cooking with a creative business venture, after discovering their love of truffles whilst living in the Sibillini Mountains in Italy.

The TruffleHunter range is produced at its Cotswold base, using trusted partners to offer truffle dairy products such as butter and cheese.

With a reputation for quality truffle products, TruffleHunter products are sold on their website, as well as through Amazon and international partners.

TruffleHunter also supplies a number of Michelin star chefs and trade outlets across the world.

In July the firm secured a six-figure finance package from HSBC UK to help meet growing international demand.

In August its range was expanded to include White Truffle & Lobster Crisps and the Black Truffle Crisps.
