Industry leaders set to speak at Farnborough aerospace event
Farnborough Aerospace Consortium (FAC) has revealed an impressive line-up of speakers for its upcoming annual conference.
The event, set to take place on 12 September at Brooklands Museum, promises to bring together top industry leaders to discuss key trends and strategies in the aerospace sector.
Keynote addresses will be delivered by Paul Griffiths, Head of Aerospace and Defence at the Department for Business and Trade, and Steven Cowan, Vice President at GKN.
Attendees will also hear from Melanie Davis, Head of Global Sourcing Compliance at GE Aviation; Cathy Davis, Technology and Innovation Sustainability Director at BAE Systems; and Paula Mielech, Head of Programmes at Beagle Tech Group.
The conference follows the highly successful Farnborough Air Show, where £81.5 billion in deals were secured.
Alan Fisher, CEO of FAC, noted that the conference will carry the momentum from the air show, providing a platform for delegates to gain insights into enhancing profitability through productivity, sustainability, and innovation.
He said: “Our speakers are influential figures in aerospace, aviation, and defence. Their insights will be invaluable to businesses across these industries and their supply chains.
“The conference offers a chance to learn about new opportunities, including a SME funding scheme for R&D projects, which will be presented by Jacqueline Castle, Chief Technology Officer at the Aerospace Technology Institute.”
Delegates can also look forward to networking sessions and discussions on funding opportunities for defence-related innovations. Alan added: “This conference is open to all, not just FAC members, and we encourage anyone involved in the sector to attend.”
The event will run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Further details and registration information are available on the FAC website.
